Martha Garcia Managing Principal:
Martha Garcia's employee benefits knowledge and business operations expertise combine to help company executives make sound, cost appropriate benefit decisions. Her dedication to customer service makes her a professional companies trust. Prior to becoming a founding partner of Turning Pointe Consulting, Ms Garcia worked for 15 years with CORE, INC., a Assurant Benefits Division company specializing in short and long-term disability, Family Medical Leave and group health management products. As Assistant Vice President Operations, Ms. Garcia led her team in strategic planning, staff development, and the achievement of contractual service standards. Ms. Garcia received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje in Bogota, Colombia. She completed the Executive Program in Management from UCLA's Andersons' Graduate School of Management.
Annette Dean Principal:
After completing her studies at University of LaVerne in Healthcare Administration, Ms. Dean has worked in the insurance industry specializing in benefit planning and consultation since 1989. Some of her clients have included Bayer, Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, Ryder Systems Inc., US Bank Corporation, 7Up/RC Bottling Company, SBC Communications and many municipalities. Ms. Dean has demonstrated success in managing and delivering self insured and insured products to Fortune 100 companies with a diversified employee base. A few of Annette's accomplishments include implementation of cost saving measures that have had direct impact on an employers culture as well as their bottom line; managed and participated on product committees and corporate initiatives that lead to positive organizational change and growth; and developed benefit packages that enabled employers to attract and maintain quality employees. Prior to her current role as principal with Turning Pointe Consulting, she worked as a Consultant for one of the top national consulting firms in the U.S. and Product Manager/Developer for an insurance and disability management company.
